DISTINCTIVE FEATURES:
DESIGN FEATURES:
| | MASSIVE BED The welded bed structure made of thick-walled profile metal meets all regulatory requirements for rigidity, bending, and torsion. The machine parts undergo full galvanic and heat treatment. The high vibration resistance of the bed ensures high-quality glass edge processing. |
| | GLASS FEED CONVEYOR MECHANISM During processing, the glass workpiece is held in the machine between the plates of the base and pressure conveyors. The durable metal conveyor links are coated with vulcanized rubber. This guarantees the reliability and stability of the workpiece transport system, which is necessary to obtain a high-quality ‘euro edge’. The working surface of the base conveyor links (tracks) consists of a metal backing and a ground rubber layer, with a maximum tolerance of ±0.01 mm. Any track can be removed and replaced if necessary. Conveyor movement along high-precision guides eliminates deflection and sagging. The entire design ensures precise conveyor movement, excluding any deviation from the set plane. The working surface of the pressure conveyor links is made of soft rubber, which provides the pressure needed to hold the weight of the workpiece during processing. The link surface has a special shape (damping surface), which compensates for inaccuracies in the actual glass thickness. The design of the main conveyor provides a load-bearing capacity of 150 kg per meter of workpiece length. |
| | WORKING LOADING CONVEYOR The elastic toothed belt of the loading conveyor serves as the initial reference surface for setting the grinding units to the removal amount and moves the glass onto the feed conveyor mechanism. Adjusting the horizontal position of the conveyor feed surface with the adjustment screw ensures precise glass processing geometry. |
| | WORKING UNLOADING CONVEYOR It is also an elastic belt made of a special wear-resistant material. It ensures convenient exit of the processed product from the processing zone and its reception by the operator to remove the glass from the machine, as well as a long service life. |
| | SINGLE FEED DRIVE The loading conveyor, feed mechanism, and unloading conveyor are all driven by a single gear motor with a variator, which ensures reliable synchronization of feed speeds across all mechanisms. This achieves uniform feed throughout the entire processing cycle. The workpiece travel speed varies smoothly from 0.5 to 4.5 m/min. This allows selecting the best modes for glass edge processing. |
| | CONVEYOR TENSION ADJUSTMENT Conveyor tension is adjusted using screws, which ensures uniform movement of the workpiece being fed. |
| | CONVEYOR TENSION ADJUSTMENT Provide reliable positioning of the glass in the vertical plane at all processing stages: from loading to unloading. The height arrangement of the rollers allows processing glass of various sizes. The rollers are made of an abrasion- and wear-resistant material. |
| | SPINDLE POSITIONING UNITS These units are the most important element of any machine. The cup grinding wheel, rigidly mounted on the spindle shaft, ensures reliable, vibration-free, high-quality edge processing. The grinding wheel is secured using a mechanical fixing system. |
| | SPINDLE GUIDES Rigid, high-precision guides made of hardened steel ensure precise parallel movement of the grinding units when adjusting the glass edge removal amount. The grinding units are adjusted to the removal amount using a graduated handle with an accuracy of up to 0.05 mm. |
| | SPINDLE DRIVE ELECTRIC MOTORS Equipping the machine with CE-compliant electric motors ensures the reliability and longevity of its operation. |
| | CONTROL PANEL The electronic components installed on the equipment are supplied by the leading German company ‘Schneider’. |
| | COOLING SYSTEM The machine is equipped with a coolant recirculation system. The set includes two tanks for closed-loop water circulation. The tanks are made of stainless steel, ensuring their durability and eliminating any possibility of corrosion. The first tank is for water-cooling the tools of the grinding group. The second tank is for polishing the glass edge with cerium oxide solution using the polishing group tools. The cooling system ensures efficient water supply to the tool. This extends tool life and improves the quality of the processed glass edge without heating the glass surface or the tool. All machine components in contact with water are made of stainless materials. |
| | LOAD AMMETERS FOR SPINDLE UNIT DRIVES Ammeters are installed on the control panel for each grinding and polishing unit drive motor, allowing visual monitoring of the tool load during glass edge processing. This helps ensure the most efficient processing mode, preventing overload of the electric motors. |
| | MACHINE CONTROL PANEL AND SAFETY SYSTEM The ergonomic control panel, conveniently located on the front of the machine, ensures easy maintenance and machine control. Two emergency stop buttons at the machine's input and output provide enhanced operating safety. |
| | CENTRALIZED LUBRICATION UNIT Allows lubrication of spindle unit guides, conveyor chain links, drives, etc. in hard-to-reach areas of the machine. This ensures convenient maintenance and extends the service life of units and mechanisms. |
| | CNC ON ZM-9 (PLC) The conveniently located control panel, installed on the front of the machine, is designed for entering, adjusting, and monitoring all glass processing steps. The main instruments monitoring the units allow automatic tracking of the load on the grinding wheels during glass edge processing. |
| | DIGITAL DISPLAY ON ZM-9 (DD) In this control version, actual information is displayed, as on the CNC model, but there is no data on productivity (volume of processed glass, linear m) or data on the current glass position. All parameters are set by the operator using special controls. |
| | CONTROL PANEL ZM 9 (MANUAL) This is the basic machine equipment. In this control version, no information is displayed; all parameters are set using special mechanical controls. |
